Metabase
Open-source BI: dashboards and plain-language questions about your data through Metabot.
What it is
Metabase is open-source BI software: you connect a database, build dashboards and share reports. Metabot answers questions in plain language; there's an MCP server and Metabot in Slack. The AI features come in every edition, including the free Open Source one. You can plug in your own model key and pay the provider directly, or use Metabase's cloud AI service (a 20% markup on token cost, with the first 1 million tokens a month free). You need hosting or a cloud subscription, plus a database.
