What it is

Midjourney is a subscription image generation service that runs in your browser. Since July 24, 2026, V8.2 has been the default: the aesthetics and personalization were refined to match your taste (the model takes into account the images you've rated). Starting with V8 there's an HD mode with native 2K resolution and more accurate text inside images; HD and some other features use more GPU time. Edit Model handles edits based on reference images, and you can turn images into short videos. Subscriptions start at about $10 a month (the Basic plan).
