Check an answer for mistakes
Go through an AI answer claim by claim: what's right, what's doubtful, where it's wrong and what to check at the source.
What it is
Paste the question and the answer you got: the model breaks the answer into separate claims, labels each one, and lists numbers, dates, links and names separately. It's better to run the check in a new chat or a different assistant, not the one that gave the answer. The check lowers the risk of a mistake but doesn't replace the primary source.

Below is an answer [from an AI in another chat / from an article / from a coworker]. Check it like a strict editor and fact-checker. The question being answered: [the original question] The answer: [paste the whole answer] Do the following: 1. Break the answer into separate claims and number them. 2. Give each one a label: [CORRECT]: a well-known, verifiable fact you're confident about; [QUESTIONABLE]: may be outdated, imprecise, or dependent on country and date; [WRONG]: incorrect, and you explain why; [CAN'T VERIFY]: needs a primary source. 3. Separately list all numbers, dates, prices, names and links, since that's where most errors hide. For each one, say which primary source to look for. 4. Which part of the question did the answer skip, and where did it answer a different question instead? 5. Are there any contradictions in the answer? Rules: if you're not sure, don't correct facts from memory. Mark them [CAN'T VERIFY]. An extra flag is better than a missed error. Don't soften your conclusions to be polite.
