What it is
Claude, made by Anthropic, is an AI assistant for writing, spreadsheets and code. The model family is Fable, Opus, Sonnet and Haiku. The free plan includes chat with web search, Artifacts and memory. Pro ($20 a month, or $17 a month billed yearly) adds Research, Claude Code and Cowork; Max starts at $100 a month with higher usage limits. Paid plans also include add-ins for Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
