What it is

GitHub Copilot is an AI assistant for code: autocomplete, chat, agent mode, code review, a cloud agent and a CLI. It works in popular IDEs and on GitHub. Individual plans: Free, Pro ($10 a month), Pro+ ($39) and Max ($100). Since June 1, 2026, chat and agents use GitHub AI credits billed by tokens; code suggestions don't count against them.
