What it is
Copilot in Excel builds and edits workbooks: it creates formulas and tables, pivot tables and charts, and finds patterns in your data. Agent Mode handles multi-step tasks: combining sheets, restructuring data, building a report. According to Microsoft's help pages, Agent Mode requires a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription with AI credits, a Microsoft 365 Premium subscription, or an enterprise Copilot license. Check the final numbers and formulas yourself: AI can get them wrong.
