What it is

Meta AI is Meta's assistant on meta.ai, in the app of the same name and inside Meta's apps. It runs on the Muse Spark model (April 2026) and answers questions and helps with research, shopping and tasks. It's free to use; resource-heavy features have limits, and a subscription raises them. In September 2026 Meta launched Muse, a personal agent in the app and in WhatsApp, rolling out first in the US. Features vary by country.
